01
Academic Skills
A strong foundation in reading, writing, math, and critical thinking lays the groundwork for future learning and problem-solving. We teach academic skills through practical application. The land navigation course covers map analysis, compass reading, and grid lines, along with calculating elevations and distances using available data, pace counts and protractors. In the construction course, our trainees learn to read blueprints, building codes, use framing squares and tape measures. Trainees apply their knowledge and mathematical equations to physically construct 3D structures. This approach keeps them engaged and builds anticipation for more advanced projects in subsequent courses
03
Communication Skill
Our course focuses on developing effective communication skills in our trainees.
They learn and practice the Open, Honest, Appropriate, Respectful & Direct (O.H.A.R.D.) communication style, which helps them navigate conversations with clarity and boundaries, even when dealing with complex personalities and difficult subjects.
05
Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving
Our training often involves facing obstacles and challenges that require innovative problem-solving. We embody a fearless environment of truth and abundance instead of poverty and lack. By working together, team members can pool their knowledge, skills, and experiences to find creative solutions to problems. This collaborative problem-solving process encourages the exploration of multiple options, encourages open communication, and fosters a supportive environment for experimentation and learning from failures. The interactive environment promotes critical thinking and problem-solving skills by leveraging the collective intelligence, diverse perspectives, and shared responsibilities of the team members.
07
Time Management and Organization
To develop trainees' time management and organization skills, we employ methods which include implementing a structured leadership process and responsibilities.
From continuous time hacks to promoting gear and personnel accountability.
Additionally, we provide trainees with tools and techniques to prioritize tasks, manage their time effectively, and stay organized.
09
Cultural Competence
Our cultural competence training strongly emphasizes the value of human life, recognizing that every individual is inherently valuable and deserving of respect and dignity. We highlight the belief that regardless of our cultural backgrounds, we are all equal in God's eyes, emphasizing the importance of treating others with fairness and compassion.
Our training acknowledges that despite our small differences, we all share the same basic human needs. The need for love, belonging, safety, and self-actualization. By recognizing and understanding these commonalities, we can bridge cultural gaps and build connections based on our shared humanity. We strive to create a culture of unity, understanding, and respect for all people.
02
Emotional Intelligence
Our leadership curriculum focuses on developing emotional intelligence in our trainees.
Through the course, individuals learn and grasp the concept of servant leadership, prioritizing the needs of others before their own.
This mindset cultivates empathy and an appreciation for diverse cultural backgrounds.
Trainees also gain practical experience in direct leadership roles throughout the course as we apply John Maxwell's five levels of leadership curriculum.
04
Creativity and Innovation
Our course promotes creativity and imagination through a culture that doesn't just accept the status quo, but encourages pushing boundaries fearlessly and learning to ask the right questions. We believe that by pushing limits, overcoming obstacles and embracing failure, trainees can discover new ideas and solutions for the world. We will always celebrate small victories and foster greatness in every developing leader.
06
Resilience and Perseverance
To enhance the trainees' resilience, we incorporate a variety of activities which include team-building exercises, problem-solving tasks, outdoor adventure activities like ropes courses or obstacle courses, and simulated stressful scenarios. These activities are designed to push trainees out of their comfort zones, encourage them to work collaboratively, and help them build confidence in their ability to handle and adapt to challenging situations. Additionally, we provide opportunities for trainees to reflect on their experiences and learn from them, fostering a growth mindset and building their resilience over time. Our motto reflects our effective approach to forming a capable mind to thrive in a complex world. Attitude, Preparation & Execution (APE).
08
Financial Literacy
Our building course is designed to improve financial literacy by providing practical lessons on budgeting and cost management. Through the course, participants learn how to create a bill of materials, estimate gear costs, and make informed financial decisions when planning and executing building projects. By integrating hands-on activities with financial concepts, our course helps individuals develop a better understanding of managing expenses, which can be applied to their careers and other various aspects of their lives
10
Leadership and Teamwork
The Junior Warrior Training JWT program focuses on clear and concise communication, enhancing verbal and nonverbal skills, active listening, collaboration and cooperation, conflict resolution, adaptability, and constructive feedback.
Trainees learn to express ideas effectively, listen attentively, work together towards common goals, resolve conflicts constructively, adapt to diverse situations, and provide and receive feedback for continuous improvement.
